Another stay in Singapore and this time decided to try out the Santa Grand Hotel Bugis . The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk away from Bugis MRT. The walkway between the MRT station and the hotel is rather dark but then again, its Singapore one of the safest places in the world. Anyway, I was given a room with no window. On first entering the room, I found the room rather large for what I was used to. I guess Santa Grand Bugis was considered a mid range hotel. Queen Sized Bed Just enough space to fit a laptop Kettle for tea or coffee Mineral water replenished everyday The room came with a safe and fridge. Strange enough though, the fridge was stored inside a wardrobe. If you look closely at the picture below, you will see that the fridge doesn't actually fit and is sitting partly on the wardrobe frame. This means that the wardrobe doors doesn't close properly. Had a wedding to attend to and since the lots of relatives were flying in, there wasn't much room at the local relatives house. Thought it might be a good time to try out the Tune Hotel . The location is great. Just a five minute walk away from the water front. There is a 7-11 nearby in case you want to get some snacks or water. At the main lobby there is a desk where you can arrange tours or taxi's to the airport and a small shop selling food and miscellaneous drinks. We got a room on the top floor (4th floor). Unfortunately since the hotel had high occupancy, we got a room without a window. No harm since all we were using the room for was to get a few nights sleep while we were in Kuching . Bed is fantastic. They advertise as having 5 star beds. Well I believe that. I found it very comfortable for its price range. 5 star bed The bathroom had a slight smell, not sure what it was but nothing too annoying. The shower was really nice as it was hot and had strong pres
