Tune Hotel Waterfront Kuching Review

Had a wedding to attend to and since the lots of relatives were flying in, there wasn't much room at the local relatives house. Thought it might be a good time to try out the Tune Hotel.

The location is great. Just a five minute walk away from the water front. There is a 7-11 nearby in case you want to get some snacks or water. At the main lobby there is a desk where you can arrange tours or taxi's to the airport and a small shop selling food and miscellaneous drinks.

We got a room on the top floor (4th floor). Unfortunately since the hotel had high occupancy, we got a room without a window. No harm since all we were using the room for was to get a few nights sleep while we were in Kuching.

Bed is fantastic. They advertise as having 5 star beds. Well I believe that. I found it very comfortable for its price range.

The bathroom had a slight smell, not sure what it was but nothing too annoying. The shower was really nice as it was hot and had strong pressure.

We ran out of toilet paper during our stay there, seems they didn't refill it. So had to go down to the information counter to get another one. The room is cleaned daily.

The interesting is that you need to buy credits to use the airconditioner. I initially bought only 24 hours of credit which was insufficient during my stay, so I had to top it up half way. Due to the size of the room, the air conditioner felt really cold.

We had a tv right in front of the bed but didn't purchase any credits so couldn't try out the tv. They have an entertainment package where you can purchase TV and WiFi internet credit for a small fee. Notice the "wardrobe" on the left. Really space saving hehe..

Overall had a good stay in Tune Hotel Kuching. Its close proximity to the riverside definitely has its advantages. The most important item was that we had a good nights rest was achieved and that's all that mattered. So if your looking for a place to stay, on a budget and do not require the extra amenities this is sufficient.

If this is not for you there are plenty of hotels to choose from at booking.com.
